2. Your drafts & posts

There are five states of posts on Siemens Blog:

  • Drafts are unfinished posts that have not yet been published. Other Siemens Blog account holders can only read your draft if they have moderator or admin rights. They can access your drafts via the post dashboard in the admin backend.
  • Pending posts are finished by authors and awaiting approval from a moderator. Before a post gets published on Siemens Blog, a moderator checks the
  • Scheduled posts are approved by a moderator and can be read by anyone from your profile page and elsewhere on Siemens Blog as soon as your scheduled publish date.
  • Published posts can be read by anyone from your profile page and elsewhere on Siemens Blog.
  • Internal posts are finished published posts, but can only be seen by users logged in with a Siemens account.

Viewing your posts

  1. Click on View your content in your burger menu.
  2. Filter for the status of your posts.
  3. Sort by publish date.

Create a new draft

  1. Click on Create content in your burger menu.
  2. Select an audience.
  3. Choose a template.
  4. Pick a topic.
  5. Start creating your post.

Delete a draft or post

  1. Click on View your content in your burger menu.
  2. Scroll down to the post you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.

Edit a published post

  1. Click on View your content in your burger menu.
  2. Scroll down to the post you want to edit.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Edit your post and go through the checkout process. Your post is then reverted back to draft and pending moderation.

Common questions

How do I unpublish a post?

You can unpublish a post at any time. Click on View your content in the burger menu, scroll down to the post you want to unpublish and click on Edit. Then click on Unpublish and Save.

How do I delete all my posts?

There is currently no way to batch delete all of your posts from Siemens Blog without deleting your account. You would need to delete each of your posts manually.

Can I password-protect a story?

Password-protecting posts is not available. If you want to your post to be visible for only Siemens colleagues, you can select internal only for your audience in the Writer’s Tool checkout.
