Second external DigiSofa on April 8, 2021
We are happy to invite you to the next DigiSofa powered by the SCM DigiNetwork. As the first DigiSofa was extremely interactive and vivid, the response and feedback of the community have shown us that this format hits a nerve. So we go with DigiSofa #2. This time moderator Thomas Holzner welcomes Robert Suchy and Henrike Diers. Under the motto Together we are stronger – How SCM Pooling helps Siemens to master the Crisis they will talk about how Siemens Supply Chain Management (SCM) is collaborating and mastering times of crisis.
You are invited to actively participate in the panel discussion and to ask any questions about pooling at SCM. The hosts are looking forward to an active participation and a lively discussion and will try to answer all the questions.
Pooling is one of the basic strategies in procurement. It is essential for Siemens, especially in times of crisis. Not only does it allow for good quality at optimal purchase prices, but also ensures stable availability and the continuation of supply chains – even in unexpected critical situations.
Henrike Diers has been Global Head of Procurement at Rail Infrastructure of Siemens Mobility since October 2019. The engineer likes to leave her comfort zone and always takes on change as an opportunity for improvement. She has been with Siemens for over 15 years, worked in several industries and lived in four countries. Her focus has always been on procurement – the multi-faceted function continues to fascinate her. Cross-functional cooperation in order to achieve an optimal position for the company is something she always attaches great importance to.
Robert Suchy, Corporate Vice President Siemens Corporate Commodities, is responsible for eight global commodity teams at Siemens – from purchasing direct materials such as electronic, electromechanical and mechanical components to indirect materials and services such as travel, fleet, IT and temporary labor. He has been with Siemens for over 20 years and has extensive expertise in diverse SCM functions. Through cross-business pooling and demand management on a corporate level, his organization adds significant value and competitive advantage.
DigiSofa has gone virtual and just like the last one with a talk show scenario. Again, unscripted and with direct response to the live comments and questions from the audience. It’s part of the SCM DigiNetwork – a network that drives forward digital transformation in procurement through a variety of projects. Since 2017, Thomas Holzner, founder of the DigiNetwork, has been inviting guests to talk about exciting digital topics related to Supply Chain Management (SCM).
