When you hear the word “influencer” we bet the first image that comes to mind would be of a famous reality star, like Kim Kardashian, pushing a brand-new lipstick or handbag. When asking teenagers these days, what job they might want in the future, their most typical answer is: Youtube star. That’s why it is only natural to wonder; how does the term influencer fit together with an industry leader like Siemens?
Siemens Influencer Community SIEx – back in September 2019
Influencers in a business-to-business (B2B) environment
To work with Influencers in a business-to-business (B2B) environment is about partnering with industry experts, who have built up reputation and a voice on social media platforms. Siemens was groundbreaking in initiating and building an Influencer Community back in 2018, called SIEx, which has now grown to 15 members, each with their own fields of expertise and influence. It is with these insights that SIEx can investigate the strategic topics Siemens wants to collaborate on and engage in the context of thought leadership.
Siemens Strategic Topics
The community follows an integrated and long-term approach. Together, we want to combine our credibility, reach, and engagement by leveraging Siemens and industry experts with active networks to co-create content of mutual value.
Outside-in and Inside-out perspective
We want to explore trends, new ways to solve business problems and compelling innovations. For Siemens employees it’s all about leaving their own comfort zone and to opening their mind to an outside perspective. It’s also about giving insights into topics and learning more about the development of the fields Siemens is working in, while SIEx members are sharing bits of their professional experience, giving advice to Siemens, and sharing topics with their followers. It’s about listening and sharing what is happening outside and inside the Siemens universe.
We as influencers have the power to shape thoughts, initiate conversations and inspire ideas. We are open-minded, collaborative and love to engage in issues and challenges that give value and impact.
In the past few weeks, we started a series of articles here on the Ingenuity platform reflecting our personal opinions on what the New Normal will look like. We will continue to share our thoughts and views in the future, but we will not limit ourselves to just writing articles. The options to share our expert opinion and expertise are nearly endless.
Stay tuned and follow us.
The community was founded on July 5, 2018 with the signing of the Mission Statement and the individual Membership Agreements. The community has no monetary aim. Siemens is only paying for the engagement of the SIEx members, not for their opinions.
